The Pateros Technological College โ€” Junior Philippine Association of Secretaries and Administrative Professionals Society (PTC-JPASAPS) successfully held its annual Stenolympics competition, at the PTC Institute of Business and Office Administration (IBOA) Campus, Barangay San Pedro. The event, part of the collegeโ€™s founding anniversary celebration, drew 19 participants who competed for the title of Stenography Champion. Competition started in an opening prayer, followed by the house rules and game mechanics led by Prof. Jhay-Ar De Jesus Jr. The Stenolympics competition, hosted by Prof. Jhay-Ar De Jesus Jr., featured three rounds: an easy round, an intermediate round, and a final round. Participants were evaluated by Prof. Yvone Ofiaza and Prof. Joseph Nicdao, both Steno instructors from IBOA. Dr. Gloria Garcia, as the observer and guidance for the flow of competition. The easy round was a single-elimination round where participants transcribed words shown on a projector. The intermediate round required participants to write long-hand sentences or statements in steno or shorthand. The top three participants from the intermediate round advanced to the final round, which consisted of two phases: transcribing a business letter and reading accuracy. All participants received raffle prizes and certificates of participation, while the winners were announced at the conclusion of the competition. Stenolympics concluded with a group photo of participants and organizers.
